New Product: Manini’s Gluten Free Pasta

New in our Deli department is Manini’s Pasta. All pastas are gluten free and made with ancient grains. 

When it comes to ancient grains, Manini’s cites Cynthia Harriman, director of food and nutrition strategies at the Whole Grains Council, who has said ancient grains are grains “that have come down to us largely intact, as opposed to grains that have been extensively modified and cross-bred more recently”.

Five ancient grains are used in Manini’s products including Amaranth, Millet, Teff, Sorghum and Quinoa. These grains are naturally gluten free and are a more nutritious option. They contain calcium, magnesium, potassium, iron and zinc in addition to being excellent sources of protein and fiber.
